In the delicate but all-important area of vascular surgery, you need to know you can trust your surgeon and that he will deliver the right results.
With more than 25 years medical experience, I am a highly qualified vascular surgeon and a leading expert in the field of vascular and arterial conditions. I treat in the region of 2,000 patients every year and as they will testify, I am committed to providing a service to patients of the highest quality.
My NHS role is as a Consultant Vascular Surgeon at Addenbrooke’s Hospital, Cambridge, West Suffolk Hospital, in Bury St Edmunds and Newmarket Hospital.
I cover a full range of aortic surgery, carotid surgery and limb revascularisation. In addition I perform over 250 venous procedures a year. To understand the scale and depth of my work, the Addenbrooke’s Vascular Unit serves a population in excess of 900,000 and receives referrals from across the East of England and beyond.
My private practice has been in existence for nine years in Cambridge and Bury St Edmunds. I see patients from a wide-ranging area and I am often asked to give second opinion consultations in complex cases.
I am a recognised expert in Endovenous Laser Ablation varicose vein treatment and have to date completed over 1,500 of these procedures in the private sector. This makes me one of the most experienced surgeons in the Endovenous Laser technique in the UK.
I have also lectured on Endovenous Laser to other surgeons - and trained them in the technique - in such places as Brazil, Madrid and Paris. I was the first surgeon in the UK to perform the latest available laser technique which avoids the need for tumescent local anaesthetic, making the procedure even less invasive.
I pride myself on providing a five-star service to patients from the point of consultation to discharge and I am always looking for ways to improve the patient experience.
